Andrew Asher, PhD

Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining the ERIAL project, Andrew conducted ethnographic research on the meanings and practices of citizenship in Poland, Germany and the European Union. He has taught at the University of Illinois and elsewhere, and has won University of Illinois and national fellowships and awards for his work, including a Fulbright-Hays research fellowship.
Susan Miller, MA
Resident Anthropologist, NEIU, DePaul, UIC
Susan completed her M.A. in Social Science at the University of Chicago. Her ethnographic thesis probed into the organizational structure of two homeless shelters. She has previously conducted applied research evaluating mental health and substance abuse services to underserved populations at a consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts.
